Diabetes Body Acceptance Project

Research Study at Stanford University

What is the Diabetes Body Acceptance Project?

A research team, headed by Eric Stice, at Stanford University is conducting a study investigating two empirically studied eating disorder prevention programs for females with Type 1 Diabetes. Participants will complete three assessments, two 14-day wears of a continuous glucose monitor,  and one of two six-week intervention that consist of six weekly, 60-minute virtual group sessions or videos to watch. Assessments will include brief surveys and interviews conducted by trained research assistants. ​Participants can earn up to $110 over the course of the study. It is estimated the participation in the study will last 5 months. For more details see the "What to Expect" page.

We are looking for female-identifying individuals between the ages of 15-30 with Type 1 Diabetes with body image concerns and/or disordered eating.
